Hart has made no secret of his love of Chelsea FC and has shared his thoughts on social ahead of the Blues' season opener

Josh Hart is known for his hard work on the court as a key part of the New York Knicks' rotation.

Off the court, he's like millions of Chelsea fans around the world — a die-hard Blue.

The forward frequently voices his takes about the London-based club on social media, with posts about the Blues dating back to the 2017 season on his X (Twitter) account.

More recently, though, he's found himself interacting with Chelsea fans, asking questions and throwing hot takes onto his social media pages as he shares his fandom with the world.

With Chelsea's season set to start in a grueling test against Manchester City on Aug. 18, it's a safe bet Hart will be watching. Here are his most notable public moments as a Blue.

Bringing Chelsea FC to the honeymoon?

Hart began expressing his support for Chelsea on social media in 2018, and that was just the beginning. Here’s his first post about the club while he was a member of the Lakers:

In 2020, two years later, he traveled to Stamford Bridge with his then-fiancé and now wife, Shannon Hart, for Valentines' Day. The duo posed for a photo on the pitch ahead of the match, again sporting the Chelsea badge on their outfits.

If Valentines' Day wasn't enough, Hart made sure his love for Chelsea was shown on his honeymoon with Shannon.

Hart was notably seen taking pictures with 2021 Blues player of the Year, Mason Mount in 2022. Yet, their friendship didn't start there, it was years in the making.

It all started during the 2019-20 NBA season, Hart pulled up to a New Orleans Pelicans game wearing a Mount kit down the tunnel pregame, and months later, the English midfielder was seen sporting a Hart Pelicans jersey on social media, as well.

Although the England international would ultimately leave the Blues in 2023 for Manchester United, Hart insisted he would remain a firm supporter of his friend across the pond.

Supporting the supporters

In 2022, Hart donated $2,500 to a Chelsea fundraiser to help raise funds for banners for Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James. His immediate donation to the fundraiser nearly helped them meet their target goal of $3,845. The banners were hoisted up at the end of the campaign at Stamford Bridge.

Hart's donation, on the site that collected the funds, said "KTPFFH" under the name – with the abbreviated phrase meaning "Keep the Blue Flag Flying High."

His connection with the fans has been tight-knit since.

Criticizing Chelsea's recent transfer strategy

Ahead of the start of the campaign, the Blues have been the most active Premier League side in the transfer market. In total, they've brought in 11 players this window, with Portugal international Pedro Neto joining the squad.

Hart didn't appear to be a fan of the signing, posting his displeasure with the expenditure claiming he wants Chelsea to get a "transfer ban" so that they stop adding players to the squad. As of Aug. 14, Chelsea's senior squad sits at 50 players and needs to halved to 25 in order to meet the Premier League's roster rules by Sept. 1.
