Victor Isaacs28-Jul-2003Hampshire have been given a home draw in the ECB Second XI Trophy competition, when they will meet neighbours Sussex at the Rose Bowl on 11 August.Charlie van der Gucht’s side waded through their Pool C group with a 100 per cent record of eight victories and will be looking to secure their place in the final for a second consecutive season and a third in four years.They meet Pool D winners Sussex, who won six out of their eight contests while, in the other semi-final, Derbyshire, the side that beat Hampshire in the Trophy final back in 1987, tackle Warwickshire.Hampshire, despite being in three previous finals, are still to lift the trophy.
